Martin Odegaard has been a breadth of fresh air at Arsenal since joining on loan from Real Madrid in January and he’s said to be attracting the interest of both Chelsea and Liverpool.

Odegaard has had a few good months after a difficult opening half of the season at parent club Real Madrid, where he was restricted to nine appearances only.

Since leaving Real Madrid to join Arsenal on loan, the player has become a regular feature in the starting XI at the Emirates Stadium and was recently made the new captain of his national team.

Martin Odegaard scored his first goal for the Gunners in a recent Europa League last 16 tie first leg clash with Greek giants Olympiacos in Athens. He was the scorer of the first goal in the game, which ended in a 3-1 away win for Arsenal.

Odegaard and Arsenal lost the second leg 1-0 but they were able to secure a place in the quarterfinals of the Europa League with the first leg advantage. The Gunners have now been drawn against Slavia Prague FC of Czech Republic in the quarterfinals.

Real Madrid loanee Martin Odegaard added a second Arsenal goal in as many games in his first North London Derby.

The Gunners had trailed to a wonder strike from Spurs substitute Erik Lamela before Odegaard produced the equaliser at the end of the first half. French international Alexandre Lacazettenetted the winning goal for Arsenal in the second half from the penalty spot.

Odegaard produced a man-of-the-match performance in the last Arsenal game, a thrilling six-goal thriller in the away London Derby clash with West Ham United. Spanish newspaper AS has revealed that Liverpool and Chelsea are monitoring the situation of Martin Odegaard at Arsenal and they could take advantage if the Gunners are unable to agree a deal to sign him again either on loan or on a permanent deal.
